If you are wondering what that means...Well, It's simple.

Matt Harvey is NO LONGER a New York Met.

Harvey has had a dreadful season where he was moved from the starting rotation to the bullpen since he wasn't pitching well.  The bullpen wasn't any better for him. He was terrible there too. In eight appearances this season (four of them starts) he allowed 33 hits and 21 runs across 27 innings with a 7.00 E.R.A.

The Mets asked him to go to the minor leagues to work on some things and get better, but he refused.

So...Matt Harvey has been DFA'd.

Harvey has been immediately removed from his club's 40-man roster.  Within seven days of the transaction, the player must either be traded, released or placed on irrevocable outright waivers.

Goodbye Matt.....Don't let the door hit you in the...
