The Giants will be holding training camp from July 29 through August 14 at Quest Diagnostics Training Center in East Rutherford. The practices will be open to the public and free to attend, but with one big difference from previous years.

Due to an incident last year when fans rushing to Odell Beckham Jr caused the bleachers to nearly collapse, the team has made a change to their player autograph policy.

Autographs will now be restricted only to fans 12 years of age and under, and only the first 400 fans to show up and get an official wristband from the team will be allowed to line up for autographs from the players.

This sounds like a really really good idea to me. I got plenty of autographs from various players when I was younger, but the older I get, the more I think it's weird for adults to be pushing their way through a crowd to get a signature. Sure I love Odell Beckham, but there comes a time when it's just weird to be asking a guy younger than me for his autograph. Let the kids get to the front, let them get their footballs or jerseys or hats signed by their hero, and keep the adults in the back.
