Nuclear Plant In Northeast US Is Leaking

Three groundwater monitoring wells surrounding the Indian Point Energy Center have reported radioactive samples. Despite this, the public risk is low, because it is far removed from drinking water systems. Also, tritiated water is often diluted and routinely released from nuclear power plants.

We also don't need to worry, because even if the largest nuclear weapon ever detonated were to blow up directly on the location of the plant, the fallout wouldn't immediately reach the Jersey Shore area.
