There were several classic rock artists who passed away this year, and we look back to remember their influence and legacy.

Jack Bruce died on October 25th at age 71, and of course he will always be one of the legendary rockers of Cream fame (as well as a solo artist), a musician many consider to be one the greatest bass players of all time (his vocals weren't too shabby, either).

On July 16th, bluesman and brother to Edgar, Johnny Winter retired to the Great Gig in the Sky at age 70. The blues guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, and singer also produced three Grammy Award-winning albums for blues singer and guitarist Muddy Waters.

Trailblazing punk rocker and drummer for the Ramones for their first four years, Tommy Ramone gave up the ghost at age 65 on July 11th. He wasn't just a member of the band, he also co-produced their first three albums.

These are just a few of the musicians who left us this year, and you can find the complete list at ultimateclassicrock.com.

R.I.P. guys, and thanks for all the notes!
