For once, "the check is in the mail" could be a legit excuse.

A Facebook post showing USPS bins stuffed with mail abandoned on the side of the road has been shared over 3,000 times.

NJ.com has the full story, including a timeline that doesn't make sense to me. According to the story, the mail was dated August 8th, but the picture only showed up on Facebook this past Sunday (even though mail isn't delivered Sundays), September 30th. It goes on to say that the U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General already concluded their investigation, and the culprit had quit on September 8th.

Regardless of when it happened, it's a wonderfully petty way to quit. While I understand that lots of that mail could be time-sensitive, and yes the worker did screw over lots of people, at some point we've all just wanted to walk out of a job saying "eff this, eff that, eff everything, I'm out!"
