It's disturbing enough to know that NJ's Sex Offender Registry has over 4,300 names, but knowing that 73 of them are "missing" is even worse.

Under Megan's Law, offenders must check in with police on a regular basis to confirm their presence. Repeat and compulsive offenders must verify their address with the appropriate law enforcement agency every 90 days. All other offenders must verify their address annually.
