If you have been to the beach over the last few days, you might notice the ocean looking a little more tropical lately. A little more blue's and green's in the water. I definitely thought the ocean looked a little more tropical when I was at Island Beach State Park this past weekend, and it looks really nice.

Scientists say it is due to microscopic plant organisms called Phytoplankton

According to The Press of Atlantic City, The microscopic marine plants bloom when colder, nutrient-rich water rises to the surface, a process known as upwelling.
