Neil Young is again being honored by the Recording Academy.

According to rollingstone.com, he'll be honored January 21st in West L.A.

"It is with great honor that we pay tribute to a musical icon who has been tireless in his own efforts to draw attention to the importance of hearing music as the artists who created it intended, and who has continually set precedents of excellence within the music community," Recording Academy President/CEO Neil Portnow said in a statement.

Four years ago the Recording Academy threw Neil an all-star tribute concert to honor his work.

Meanwhile, Neil's world tour with Crazy Horse had to be cut short due to a band member's hand injury, but he will play his annual Bridge School benefit show with Crosby, Stills and Nash later this month.
