Metallica goes the route of smooth jazz?! Say it ain't so! Ok, well you can relax, because it hasn't happened. Well not from Metallica's point of view anyway. Metallica going jazz would surely be heresy. It's bad enough that most of us die hard Metallica fans are still trying to recover from 'LuLu,' their highly criticized project with singer Lou Reed without hearing the news that one of their classic songs such as 'Enter Sandman' was headed for a remake worthy of elevators and doctors' offices near you.

Someone was creative enough though to perfectly time a live version of 'Sandman' to a retooled jazz  music background. It probably won't make the rotation in your iPod anytime soon but it may make you laugh, if nothing else. The part that may make you laugh the most is when singer James Hetfield tries to get the crowd fired up and the crowd responds with a polite, short applause.  You can check out the video below.

What did you think of the remodeled version of 'Enter Sandman?' Did you at least get a laugh out if it? What other humorous songs have you heard redone like this one? Share your comments below.
