Man Bitten By Rattlesnake AFTER Chopping Snake’s Head Off

A guy in Tennessee was hiking with his family on Sunday, and they came across a rattlesnake on the trail.  Since he knew that other people were on the trail and didn't want them to come across the snake, he killed the snake by chopping off its head with a boat oar.  His kids wanted to see the body of the snake, so he attempted to pick up the body to show them. When he did, the severed head turned by itself and bit him on the hand! What the hell?!

The man first tried to shake it off, thinking that it was just a copperhead.  But he soon felt the pain pulsing through his body and actually passed out, hitting his head on a rock in the process.  He was carried out of the woods before eventually being flown to the hospital where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
