Unfortunately, it's official, AC/DC will go on without Malcolm Young.

The band said "due to the nature of Malcolm's condition" their new album, 'Rock or Bust', would be the first in AC/DC's 41-year history not to feature Young on the recordings.

AC/DC made a statement that left no doubt that Malcolm is now an ex-member of the band, according to bbc.com:

"Unfortunately, due to the nature of Malcolm's condition, he will not be returning to the band."

Earlier this year the band released a statement explaining that due to illness, Malcolm would be taking a break from the band, but there was still some hope that he might get better and return, until their announcement at acdc.com.

The new album will be released December 2nd, with a world tour to follow in 2015.

Stevie Young, Angus and Malcolm Young's nephew, plays rhythm guitar on 'Rock or Bust' and will accompany the band on tour.

By the way, beginning this Saturday, September 27th, Turner Sports will provide fans a sneak peek of the new track ‘Play Ball’ as part of the 2014 Major League Baseball Postseason campaign.
