Local College Athletes Joining The NFL

With the 23rd selection in the 3rd Round (86th overall), the Miami Dolphins drafted Leonte Carroo, a Wide Receiver from Rutgers.

Miami traded their sixth round pick this year, and their third- and fourth-round pick in 2017 to the Minnesota Vikings in order to get Carroo.

After the draft, Monmouth University tight end Hakeem Valles was signed by the Arizona Cardinals.

Three other Rutgers players also signed after the draft:

• Linebacker Steve Longa (Seattle Seahawks)
• Offensive Lineman Keith Lumpkin (Buffalo Bills)
