Eric Clapton's old band mate, Jack Bruce, passed away of liver disease on October 25th, at age 71, to the sadness of musicians and fans alike all around the world.

Clapton offered words about his friend and colleague, according to ultimateclassicrock.com:

Clapton paid tribute to Bruce’s life and legacy in the hours after learning of his death, posting a brief Facebook note that reads in part, “He was a great musician and composer, and a tremendous inspiration to me.”

But because Eric speaks volumes with music rather than words, he also wrote this tribute to Jack, simply titled, "For Jack":
