Musical guests on The Late Show with David Letterman this week are all about paying homage to The Beatles because this Sunday, February 9th, represents a milestone on the Fab Four's journey to superstardom.

The week-long celebration comes ahead of the 50th Anniversary of the Beatles monumental appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show; and, of course, the Late Show tapes at the Ed Sullivan Theater where the band made their American debut, as reported by rollingstone.com.

Earlier this week, Stong performed "Drive My Car", Sean Lennon with the Flaming Lips rocked "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" and Lenny Kravitz will appear for the tribute tonight.

And ultimateclassicrock.com reports there are rumors that on Friday — 50 years to the day that the Beatles landed in the U.S. — Letterman’s show will feature Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.
