LBI Township Approves “No Wake” Law For Cars
The Ship Bottom Borough Council unanimously approved an ordinance that would prohibit drivers from creating a wake with the car that goes "beyond the edge of the street or curb line."

The law took inspiration from the "No Wake Zones" that boats have to obey.
Residents of Ship Bottom have been complaining about visitors driving too quickly down their streets, spraying water onto their already flood-prone properties.
According to the Sandpaper, one resident asked that the borough be closed to non-LBI residents, which sounds insane; however, it is a good rule to keep drivers from flying down wet roads and spraying everything.
