Lakewood Police bring their search for the driver of a Jeep Liberty believed to have hit a 17 year old girl on Kennedy Boulevard last Sunday back to the scene of the crime.

Officers along with personnel from the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office handed out flyers on Kennedy Boulevard in hopes someone will remember the vehicle, a light colored 2006-2007 Jeep Liberty with front passenger damage, mirror damage as well as marker light damage according to the LakewoodScoop.com.

17 year old Jennifer Gavilanez remains hospitalized in critical condition.

Lakewood Police on Friday released video showing what they believe is  the vehicle making a left turn from Route 9 (Madison Avenue) onto Kennedy Boulevard. The accident took place at Kennedy and Clifton Avenue, just one block away just before 7:30PM on Sunday night October 7.

Police have enhanced the Department of Transportation video in hopes of capturing the plate numbers.

Police continue to look for the light colored 2006-2007 Jeep Liberty with front passenger damage, mirror damage as well as marker light damage.

In the video the Jeep, which has a tire on the back, could be seen entering the bottom left of the video screen at the 7 second mark.
