Jon Bon Jovi: “Hard” to Visit Jersey

Jersey’s native son is having a difficult time, like the rest of us, viewing the devastation of our state.

He spoke on the today show this morning about touring parts of New Jersey he grew up in and also talked about the destruction of Seaside Heights, and said, “I spent my childhood there…and the entire Jersey shore that I knew is gone.”

To help ease the pain of so many, Jon will join fellow rockers Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel for a benefit concert tonight.

Jon was in London when the call came to help out and he immediately scrapped his promotional trip there and flew home.

NBC’s “Hurricane Sandy Coming Together Benefit” will air tonight at 8 p.m. ET on NBC, USA Network, SyFy, MSNBC, CNBC, Bravo, E!, Style Network, G4 and more.

It will also be live streamed on NBC.com, and money collected will go to American Red Cross relief efforts.
