Beloved ex-Yes vocalist Jon Anderson is working on creating a new band.

He's joining forces with Jean-Luc Ponty, the French violinist and jazz composer.

“You’re the first people to know,” Anderson told the crowd at one of his recent solo shows. “I’m going to get a band together with Jean-Luc Ponty…I’m going to work with one of the great violin players. We start work in June, I think. Then we’re going to tour next year. I love the violin.”

Ponty has rock credibility from way back, having worked with Frank Zappa and Elton John.

Jon's current solo tour will make two stops in New Jersey later this month and one in NYC this April.
