John Kay at 69: Hard at Work with Charitable Causes

The voice of Steppenwolf, as well as its primary songwriter, John Kay, was born April 12th, 1944 in East Prussia, Germany.

According to steppenwolf. com, John spends more time with his Maue Kay Foundation’s wildlife conservation and human rights work, so “John Kay & Stppenwolf” only perform 10 to 12 concerts each year:

“In this way the “Wolf Pack” still has an opportunity to see their favorite band and – through the foundation’s efforts – John is able to support the causes he deeply cares about.”

But Steppenwolf fans, you’re in luck, because currently on the tour schedule is an appearance in Morristown, New Jersey on July 18th at the Mayo Performing Arts Center.
