With less than three months left until Memorial Day, boardwalks and beaches at various shore points are gearing up for a busy season by adding new staffers to the books. That includes Jenkinson's Boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach, which will hold its annual summer job fair over the next two weekends.

This Sunday and next Saturday, hundreds of positions from ride operators to beach badge checkers will be available.

"There will be game operators, arcade workers, beach maintenance," said Christine Karaska with the state Department of Labor and Workforce Development. "Restaurants are looking for cooks, lifeguard positions, you name it."

Attendees should bring two forms of identification, be at least 14 years of age, and come dressed for success. Bring a smile, and plan ahead of time for an on-the-spot interview.

"Because there will be so many different hiring managers there, you should go to the website in advance and fill out an application, make duplicate copies and be ready to hand them out," Karaska said. "There's no sense in going to the event and filling them out there when you could be meeting with your potential employer. These jobs we're getting ready, believe it or not, (are) for the Easter festivities. So these jobs will begin ASAP."

The job fair will take place this Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. at the Pavilion Restaurant and then again next Saturday, March 15 from noon to 3 at the same location.
