The Ocean County Signal reports first responders were able to resesitate the boy yesterday afternoon after he was found underwater in the deep end of the pool at a home on Castle Avenue.

He had been at the bottom of the pool for about one minute when he was discovered. Family members were able to get him out and begin first aid before fire and rescue arrived.

Chief Mike Waters of Fire District #3 told the Signal, “They did a very good job today.” and was happy that this call will end “with a very good outcome.”  He continued “the child was breathing on his own when the ambulance left for the hospital.”
