It’s the Home Stretch for the Ocean of Love Radiothon. Still Need $65,000!

It's hour 65 as i sit atop the Billboard raising money for the children and families for Ocean of Love. My math can be wrong. I'm sitting on a billboard ya know!

Have had all sorts of weather. Rain. Cold. Warm. Sunny. Overcast. Right on par for what to expect form past fundraisers.

We have heard some touching stories from brave children and their families. Heard some amazing stories of kids coming together and raising money for sick children.

We had 2 girls ages 11 and 12 come out yesterday and give $665 that they raised selling Cakes and Ice Tea. ICE TEA!!!!!

We had an 8 year old girl empty her entire piggy bank and give all the money to Ocean of Love. That's $50 bucks!

And there is the story of Paige. I can not stop think about her fight AND her bravery. she has brain Cancer. It then spread to her spine. Then it incapacitated. Paige had to LEARN how to walk all over again. Can you imagine what that would be like? Honestly I can't. One day she would like to be a photographer but doesn't think she will be able to because of the cost of the camera. A gracious Hawk listener heard the story and came immediately to the billboard to hand her $1500  for the purchase of a camera AND THEN proceeded to donate $500 to Ocean of Love.

It doesn't get much better that that now does it? The feeling of giving to people who need is one of the greatest feelings in the world. Try it. You might just like it

So in a nutshell, that is where we are. There are so many more stories that we have heard, and so many that we haven't heard yet. But the kids need our help. BOTTOM LINE!
