What does National Doughnut Day mean for you?  FREE DOUGHNUTS!

National Doughnut Day was created by The Salvation Army in 1938 to honor the women who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War I.

In celebration, many national and local doughnut shops are giving out free doughnuts!

Dunkin' Donuts will give away a free doughnut of your choice (while supplies last) with the purchase of any beverage. You can click here to find Dunkin Donuts locations near you.

Krispy Kreme will offer one free doughnut of any variety, click here to find Krispy Kreme stores. Unfortunately the closest Krispy Kreme seems to be the one in Penn Station in NYC. There was one in Brick that I used to frequent, but they've since closed.

Local.com is a good resource to find some smaller local doughnut shops. Here is a list for ones near the Hawk's nest in Bayville, but you can search for your town too.
