Is The Asbury Zombie Walk Coming Back From The Dead?

About a month ago, we told you that the annual Asbury Park Zombiewalk had breathed its last breath, but the corpse may be shuffling back to life...

According to the Asbury Park Sun, Asbury Park Mayor John Moor received an application for the event to continue.

“They put in an application two days ago...They will be making a presentation to the Special Events Committee on Thursday.”

Chief Zombie Jason Meehan had originally said rising costs made the free event too difficult to organize. However, Mayor Moor said city charges were never increased.

The application will likely come before the City City Council for approval during the September 23rd Regular Session meeting.
