Iron Maiden Singer Bruce Dickinson Flies With TV’s ‘Ice Pilots’

This past weekend the restless voyager teamed with Joe McBryan and the staff of Buffalo Airways, who star in History Television’s ‘Ice Pilots NWT,’ for an episode in which he flew a World War II-era DC-3 to Yellowknife. Sandra Sperounes and Fish Griwkowsky from the Edmonton Journal rode along to cover the flight live on Twitter.
“Spectacular forests and lakes up here! About to land with my Spro-pilot,” Griwkowsky tweeted. “I don’t believe I ever sat in the pilot’s seat of a DC3 over Yellowknife beside the lead singer of Iron Maiden before.”
Sperounes reported the flight wasn’t all smooth sailing. “Bruce gave me two barf bags for our next leg from Hay River to Yellowknife. ‘My record was 7 bags,’ he says.”
Dickinson is currently performing with Iron Maiden on an extensive world tour dubbed Maiden England.
