In memory of an incredible talent and a truly humble and kind human being.

Brad Delp would have turned 62 years old today, born on June 12, 1951 in Peabody, Massachusetts, and of course will always be remembered as the extraordinary vocalist behind all the Boston songs we know so well.

He committed suicide at the age of 55 on March 9, 2007.

Sadly, according to ultimateclassicrock.com, it was reported last year that friends testified that Brad Delp might have been driven to taking his own life by his difficult relationship with Tom Scholz, who he apparently didn't trust and wasn't able to stand up to when they disagreed.

But Scholz claimed that he “had a very strong personal connection” with Delp and was his friend for more than 30 years and that it was a false accusation that Delp committed suicide because of the turmoil in his professional life caused by Scholz.

Yet another article on classicrockmagazine.com last year revealed that Brad may have killed himself after a spy camera he installed in his fiancee's sister's bedroom was discovered, for which he was humiliated and very remorseful.

We may never know what caused Delp to take his own life, but we can hope he has now found peace at last.
