Sammy had it right, didn't he?

If you're gonna drive a stretch of highway without stoplights or stop signs, you just want to move.

And some Europeans have it right, too, in my mind.

Right now a full 65% of Germany's roads don't have any speed limit at all; however, that could change. That's due to recent elections there and the desire to curb carbon emissions.

Still, I think a lot of Jerseyans probably agree with the German road system.  In fact, I bet most Americans agree that if you're going to have a little freedom, you should be able to express it out on the open road.

The Garden State Parkway is a perfect example of posted signs being virtually ignored, whether a work zone or not, from what I observe and from how I navigate it myself.   Hey, you gotta keep up with traffic, right??
