A car that went off Interstate 195 in Jackson and flew over an off-ramp has killed an Oakhurst man.A Chevrolet Silverado pickup driven by Imants Seperis Jr., 48, went off the roadway went airborne over the ramp to exit 16A (Route 537 West- Six Flags) in Jackson around 11:24AM, landing on its side in the woods after hitting an embankment according to New Jersey State Police.

Seperis was flown via MONOC medical helicopter to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune where he was pronounced dead.

The ramp was blocked while police conducted an initial investigation delaying traffic back to exit 10 in Allentown for a time.

This is the second fatal accident in this stretch of I-195 through Jackson in a week. Last Saturday a Cranbury man died neat exit 22 when his car crossed the median onto the westbound side.

Both accidents remain under investigation by New Jersey State Police.
