Hurricane Jose Damages Structure In Belmar

Hurricane Jose stayed far enough offshore to prevent any major damage from hitting the Jersey Shore area, but not everything was spared. Many towns are worrying about beach erosion, and the Belmar Fishing Club suffered some damage to the pier that extends outward into the Atlantic Ocean.

The Fishing Club had suffered damage after Hurricane Sandy but was rebuilt. The damage this time around is much less significant, so the rebuild should come much easier.
