A Massachusetts Junk yard owner discovered savings bonds in an envelope inside a hope chest valued at $21,000 back in 1972

Today those bonds are worth $114,000!!

Marie Veloso called the services of Junk Depot to remove some furniture from her house. Veloso knew there were some items in the chest, but told the workers she did not want anything.

Later in the day when the chest was brought back to the store, the bonds were discovered as workers were looking through more thoroughly.

The bonds had belonged to Veloso’s mother, Rose Marie, who recently passed away .You can read the complete story and check out the video of the Junk Depot returning the bonds here.

What would you have done? Would you have returned the bonds? Have you ever committed a good deed like this? Have you ever kept something that didn't belong to you?
