Hard Rock Will Spend Nearly $400 Million To Renovate AC’s Taj Mahal

On the 27th anniversary of the opening of Taj Mahal, Hard Rock announced plans to renovate the building and turn it into the newest Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

The new casino is scheduled to open in summer 2018, and will feature more than 2,400 new slot machines, two arenas totaling 7,000 seats, and more. The "Hard Rock Cafe" itself will move from inside Taj Mahal to a new spot that will include beach access.

The project is expected to create more than 1,000 construction jobs and 3,000 permanent jobs.
