Malcolm Young turns 59 today, born on January 6, 1953 in Glasgow, Scotland.  He grew up primarily in Australia, having moved with his family from Scotland to the Land Down Under in 1963.

AC/DC founding member, brother to Angus, rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist, Malcolm is said to be the brains and business behind the band.

He's been called one of the best riff-writers in rock and he may not be flamboyant like his little brother, but he's a solid player and legend nonetheless.

Rock on, Malcolm!
