Get Rid of Unused Dangerous Pills on Saturday

This Saturday April 30th is "National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day".

If you have expired or unused prescription pills lying around the house, it's time to get rid of them this weekend. Having the pills in the house can lead to the pills getting abused, stolen, and resold illegally.

Flushing pills down the toilet is bad for the environment so officials are asking for people to bring them to the collection sites

Prescriptions pills can always be dropped off at the Toms River Police Department 24 hours a day, seven days a week in the anonymous Project Medicine Drop box in the police department lobby, but this Saturday, you can drop off unwanted pills at two locations between 10a-2p:

• Seaside Park Police Department
• Beachwood Police Department, 1600 Pinewald Road.
