Thursday, June 29
Free Admission to The National Constitution Center, 9:30am–8:00pm
Wawa invites you to enjoy a free day at the National Constitution Center, including “Freedom Rising,” a live 17-minute theatrical performance presented in the newly renovated Sidney Kimmel Theater, the "Story of We the People" Exhibit, and Signers’ Hall. Plus, don’t miss the new feature The American Spirits Exhibit.
Wawa Hoagie Day
Honoring our Heroes & History Makers with a Taste of Home, 12:00pm–1:30pm
Independence Visitor's Center Lawn & National Constitution Center Lawn
Hoagie Day is dedicated to honoring our troops and building on The Wawa Foundation’s partnership with the USO. The event will begin with a salute to our local and national Heroes – our military service men and women, firefighters, and police officers.
Wawa will also recognize some of the “history makers” who are everyday heroes, including USO volunteers. The annual “Hoagies for Heroes” contest will again feature Philadelphia firefighters, police officers, and members of the Air and Army National Guard competing in a hoagie-building contest for charity. More than five tons of Wawa hoagies will be distributed FREE to the crowd.

The Wawa Smoothie Shack is back! Stop by and cool off with FREE samples of delicious Smoothies!
Tuesday, July 4
Celebration of Freedom Ceremony, 10:00am–11:00am
During the Celebration of Freedom Ceremony, the Wawa Foundation will present the Wawa Foundation Hero Award. This award honors a non-profit organization that is committed to assisting others and building stronger communities through preserving independence, protecting safety and mentoring and inspiring youth.
Independence Day Parade, 11:00am–12:00pm
Wawa Associates will hand out FREE Wawa teas, juices, and lemonades to those attending the Independence Day Parade in historic Philadelphia. To help celebrate our nation’s birthday, Associates will also be giving out patriotic event hats to wear and flags to wave throughout the festivities.
Party on the Parkway
12:00pm–5:00pm, followed by the Concert & Fireworks
Each year, Wawa Welcome America! is highlighted by the July 4th Independence Day Parade, the Party on the Parkway, and the July 4th Concert & Fireworks. This year’s headliner is Mary J. Blige. Wawa Associates will also be giving out patriotic event hats to wear and flags to wave in patriotism to celebrate our nation’s birthday!
