Back in the day, college students didn't really have much to go off of when selecting courses or professors.

Maybe someone you were friends with had that professor before and could sway you one way or another. But chances are you were going in blind.

With the advent of websites like Rate My Professors, things have gotten a little easier.

Students can now search out professors before taking their class to see what their peers had to say about them.

In this video by The University of Alabama student newspaper The Crimson White, very similar to when Jimmy Kimmel has celebrities read mean tweets about themselves, you'll see Alabama professors read reviews about themselves on Rate My Professors.

Most handle it pretty well and don't really seem to back down from their teaching methods. Let's be honest: Chances are if there's an issue, it's the student's fault anyway.
