Last week's NFL Draft should have featured Eric LeGrand. The former Rutgers player would have graduated and been beginning his professional career, if not for the tragic injury in 2010 that left him paralyzed.

His coach at Rutgers, Greg Schiano, is now the coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Yesterday, the Bucs signed LeGrand to the team.

“Leading up to the draft, I couldn’t help but think that this should’ve been Eric’s draft class. This small gesture is the least we could do to recognize his character, spirit, and perseverance. The way Eric lives his life epitomizes what we are looking for in Buccaneer Men.”
