Executive Board members Jean Mikle and Tony Pallagrosi stopped by the Bruce Brunch to announce the first details of the upcoming Light of Day Foundation Winterfest in January.

This year's event runs Friday, January 6 through Monday, January 16 with a number of events all around the area culminating in a concert.

More details will be revealed in the weeks to come  including the headliners. Tickets go on sale Saturday at noon via Ticketmaster.com or by calling 800-745-3000. Tickets will not be sold at the Stone Pony as previously reported.

First up is an event at the Outpost by the Burbs in Montclair on January 6 followed by a concert at the World Cafe in Philadelphia on Saturday, January 7.  The infamous Cover Me Show takes place at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park on Sunday, January 8 featuring "the greatest cover bands in New Jersey," according to Tony.

The fest will commemorate Clarence Clemons' birthday on Wednesday, January 11 at the Cutting Room in New York and then return to Asbury Park to finish up with shows at The Saint, the Wonder Bar, the Langosta Lounge, McLoone's Supper Club, the House of Independence, the Paramount Theater and the Asbury Park.

New this year are a poetry event and a film "sneak peaks" event.

The Bruce Brunch will bring the show to the Anchor's Bend on Saturday, January 15 for a post concert event.

The Light of Day Foundation, Inc uses the power of music to raise money and awareness in its continuing battle to defeat Parkinson’s disease and related illnesses such as PSP and ALS within our lifetime.
