Fire Claims at Least 3 lives and Injures 8 at motel in Pt. Pleasant Beach

Sad to report that 3 people are dead, 8 injured and 10 unaccounted for in an early morning fire at the Mariner’s Cove Motor Inn in Point Pleasant Beach on Friday.

All the victims of the fire were male according to Ocean County Prosecutor’ Joseph Coronato at a late morning briefing and press conference.

Of the eight injuries, most were burns and taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center or Brick Medical Center.
