Reports of low flying jets shaking homes in Monmouth County on Monday afternoon created a storm on social media.

NBC New York is reporting that two F-16 fighter jets were escorting an airplane that entered restricted United Nations airspace. Security around the UN has been bolstered due to this week's meeting of its General Assembly.

Residents of Monmouth County, especially the Red Bank, Lincroft and Tinton Falls area reported that the jets shook their homes.

A federal official said that the plane in question landed at Monmouth Executive Airport in Wall Township.
