February is American Heart Month! The Hawk is working with the American Heart Association to get the word out about heart health. Learn your family health history, know your numbers (blood pressure, cholesterol, BMI and blood sugar) and make simple lifestyle changes to prevent heart disease and stroke.

I got the chance to talk to Karin Jordan, a survivor of an aortic aneurysm and a stroke.

This Friday, February 2nd is National Wear Red Day. It's a day of awareness that cardiovascular diseases kill approximately  one woman every 80 seconds. Support our mothers, daughters, wives, sisters, grandmothers, aunts, nieces, cousins, and all the women in our life by wearing red this Friday!
