Eric Clapton at 68: 50th Anniversary & Crossroads Guitar Festival This Year!

Happy (early) birthday to Eric Clapton, who was born on March 30, 1945 in Surrey, England.

Slowhand's on tour right now through June as he supports his most recent album, Old Sock, released on March 12th.

And for a guitar aficionado's wet dream, he'll hit Madison Square Garden with his Crossroads Guitar Festival on April 12th and 13th along with many other guitar masters, including Buddy Guy, Jeff Beck and Jonny Lang.

Since Eric joined The Yardbirds in 1963, it really has been fifty years since he brought his signature sound to the music world.
