Enough With ‘Twilight’ Already!

I am extremely tired of all this Twilight stuff. Tired of the “stars”, tired of the hype, tired of its existence. This Thursday at midnight the new Twilight movie “The Twilight Saga” Breaking Dawn Part 1″ will be released in theaters. That is both good and bad news. The good news is it will be 1 step closer to being over (although part 2 is coming). The bad news is it’s going to be a lot worse before it gets better. I don’t understand how a vampire & werewolf movie can be a big hit in this day & age. Especially one that apparently breaks all the long standing rules about both. Silver bullets, crosses, garlic, etc don’t apply in that world which is just sacrilegious. I have never seen any of the films and never will because they do 1 thing I just can’t stand, they insist upon themselves. Why is everyone taking things SO seriously? I thought werewolves and vampires were for kids.

The stars don’t help very much either. Robert Pattinson appears to be a real life vampire. Women swoon for the guy but he looks scary to me. Nobody needs more sun then pale female lead Kristin Stewart. The werewolf, Taylor Lautner, dated Taylor Swift, therefore he can’t be a good guy. The 1 saving grace is the very attractive Ashley Greene but she isn’t worth sitting through the rest of them.

Join me in blocking out the virtual sun that is “Twilight” movies for just a little while longer. It will take extra dark sunglasses and SPF 1,000 sunscreen but we will survive. Once these last 2 films are released all but 1 of the stars will disappear. Don’t believe me? What is Mark Hamill up to?
