This year, instead of throwing away your Christmas Tree the same old way by leaving it at your curb waiting for sanitation to come to pick it up, why don't you do something different and something good for the environment this year...Recycle it!

I know, I know, the last thing you want to do is tie the tree to the roof of your car again, but you'll be doing a good thing, and it will only be a minor inconvenience

Christmas trees are turned into wood chips used for landscaping at numerous county parks and facilities.

According to The Patch:

Christmas trees can be dropped off at Ocean County park locations through Jan. 31

Christmas trees are also accepted at both the Northern and Southern Recycling Centers year-round during regular business hours. Click HERE for all the locations
