Details surrounding fatal car accident in Plumsted revealed
We know a little more about a fatal car accident Sunday morning in Plumsted around 10:50 am.
Ocean County Prosecutors say a PDC Trucking Company 2017 Mack GU7 dump truck carrying 20-tons of sand overturned into a field along Route 539 after being hit by a Lexus who was making a left onto the road near Woodruff Road and crossed in front of the truck.
The driver, Nancy Harris, 79, of Newtown, Pennsylvania and her passenger in the Lexus Helen Conover, 84, of Hamilton, New Jersey died from their injuries.
Medical attention was immediately rendered, but tragically, paramedics pronounced the female driver and passenger in the Lexus SUV dead on the scene.
The dump truck driver, James Bevacqua,58, of Little Egg Harbor is recovering from back pain after being brought to Deborah Heart and Lung Center Sunday.
