A house on Cornell Drive is uninhabitable after an explosion near the water heater in the basement Friday night.

Delran Township police say the homeowner crawled out of a window to safety suffering only a couple scratches and walk to a neighbors house just before they arrived on the scene around 10:30 pm.

The homeowner was treated by EMS personnel on scene.

The impact from the explosion caused the first floor windows to collapse and it knocked down the back wall, making the home uninhabitable.
