I'm pretty sure this is not a fictional movie. It's actually a bio-pic about David Bowie himself, under the guise of a piece of fiction. An androgynous alien questioning his existence on Earth? Sound pretty on-the-nose.

 

David Bowie as a sexy vampire? Sign me up.

 

For people of a certain age, David Bowie is simply The Goblin King. Jim Henson had originally wanted Sting in the role, but Henson's children believed that Bowie could provide "lasting appeal"; Sting has been a decent actor in a few roles, but Bowie's combination of charm, sexiness and creepiness made it perfect.
