Controlled Burn Happening in Barnegat on Wednesday

Big thanks to our friends from Micromedia Publications for giving us the heads up on the prescribed burns (also known as controlled burns) happening in Barnegat tomorrow (Wednesday 2/15) between 8a-8p.

If you see smoke around the Barnegat area, do not panic. The controlled burn will be happening around Cloverdale Farms, by Cloverdale Road.

According to Micromedia:

The New Jersey State Forest Fire Service conducts burns throughout the state at the end of winter every year. The burns destroy fallen trees, branches, leaves, pine needles and other debris on the forest floor.
