Cold Today Leads to Snow Tomorrow Across New Jersey

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for tomorrow as a storm bringing a mix of snow, sleet and rain continues to head towards New Jersey

The Advisory is in effect for Hunterdon, Warren, Morris, Passaic and Sussex counties starting from 3 p.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday but all of New Jersey will be affected by the storm.

Light snow begins to overspread New Jersey from south to north during the late morning and afternoon. Precipitation will begin as snow in all areas but as warmer air moves in it will change to sleet, freezing rain and then rain by early Monday morning.

The change may not occur in northern counties until after the morning commute on Momday north of Interstate 78 which will make for a slippery drive.

Snow accumulations will be less than one inch south and east of the I-95 corridor, an inch south of the I-78 corridor and 1-2 inches north of the I-78 corridor.  No accululation is expected along Shore areas.

Warmer air moves in at all levels for Monday meaning rain all across New Jersey that ends during the evening.

Interior Pennsylvania, New York State and New England have the best chance for more significant from this storm with 2-4 inches predicted for the Boston area with higher amounts to the west.
