It was two years ago today that the infamous Sandy made her unwelcome appearance on our beautiful shoreline and left a trail of devastation in her wake, and Governor Chris Christie will mark the occasion with visits to our area.

According to newsworks.org:

On the second anniversary of Superstorm Sandy's landfall, Gov. Chris Christie and First Lady Mary Pat Christie are embarking on a tour throughout the hard-hit Monmouth and Ocean counties today.

He'll visit Toms River, Neptune Twp., Belmar and Union Beach.

Check out his complete tour schedule here.

Also, as we mark this anniversary, a woman (Patricia A. Miller) who lived the worst of it when Superstorm Sandy struck, and who now has got her home back two years later, shared her personal story of how the superstorm affected her.
