Today is February 2nd. That means it's Groundhogs Day! We find out through a groundhog (allegedly) if we will have an early Spring OR will we have six more weeks of Winter.

Of course, the most famous groundhog is Punxsutawney Phil, but over the years some other rodents, uh.... I mean....groundhogs have gotten in on the action.

You have Staten Island Chuck in New York, and two New Jersey groundhogs; Milltown Mel, and Essex Ed from the Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange

Just to refresh your memory, If the groundhog sees it's shadow, there are six more weeks of Winter. If no shadow is seen, it will be an early Spring.

Here are the results:

  • Punxsutawney Phil: Saw Shadow- Six more weeks of Winter
  • Staten Island Chuck: No Shadow- Early Spring
  • Milltown Mel: No Shadow- Early Spring
  • Essex Ed: Saw Shadow- Six more weeks of Winter

So what does all this mean? I don't know, but I can tell you for sure that it was Sunny in at least two places today, and it was cloudy in at least two places today.

Here is something exciting....The AMC Channel is showing a "Groundhog Day" marathon all day.
